THE CAMEL WHO CROSSED AUSTRALIA
During this remote learning period I have decided to put up weekly several chapters of the novel The Camel Who Crossed Australia by Jackie French that we have been reading in class. We will not have time to complete this in class, so for those of you who would like to hear the remainder of the story, you will now be able to listen to a chapter every day while doing your main lesson drawing if you wish. We will not be doing any tasks related to this book - it is simply for you to enjoy if you want to.
I have started the recordings from chapter 18 which I know most of you have heard, but I thought this would be the most accessible point for our new students to join in. And as it has been a while since we have read the book, it will be a nice review for the rest of us.
For the new students, I have included a summary of the story so far in the first audio.
That concludes the story of The Camel Who Crossed Australia.
At the end of the book, Jackie French has put some information in about what happened next for the survivors of the expedition, as well as some very interesting Author's Notes. Please find these attached below.
